We loved visiting blogs for last week's challenge! We are so excited with the entries, we are still deciding who our winner and top picks will be.

THE CHALLENGE

Looking at the title of this post, is the Green Acres (classic T.V.) theme song running through your head now? Good! Keep it there while you make your creation for this week. We want to see your Country creations. They can include gingham ribbon or papers, a farm image, farm animals, fields of green or anything that says "Farm or Country" to you!

THE TWIST

Include "grass" somewhere on your project. (this can be machine cut, hand cut card stock, stickers, drawn, etc....just show me some grass)

This week's Challenge...

THE CHALLENGE

"Rock, Paper, Scissors"

Use patterned paper and hand cut with scissors on your creation. Whether it's fussy cutting your image, hand cutting a shape, whatever, we want to see what you can cut! :) (you can use your paper trimmer and any other items you use to cut with, the hand cutting is just an extra thing we want to see on your creation this week!)

THE TWIST

The "Rock" part of our challenge....

Use diamond glaze, diamond stickles, clear rhinestones, whatever you think of when you think "rock" or "diamond"

Round 2!!! DESIGN TEAM CALL!

DESIGN TEAM CALL!

Are you ready for a Twisted Design Team Call?!!!! It's about that time. Our new round of Designers will start showing off their creations October 16th! Wow! Time flys!!!

This will be a 6 month commitment starting October going through April.

Something different this go around.....we will have 2 teams of designers. You will be responsible for posting a creation every other week, not every week. So, easy peasy, right?!!!

We are looking for at least 7 new Design Team members!

THE NEW DESIGN TEAM WILL BE ANNOUNCED

OCTOBER 2ND

Requirements:

~You must have a Face book account. We have a private group on FB where all the upcoming challenges are posted, we vote on top 3 and creations are posted for me to add to the challenge.
~ Please reference this (if you have a FB account) in your email or comment.~

~You have to have had a blog for at least 1 year and be active in posting to that blog.

~You must be available on Mondays by 8pm (central time) (any time before that on the Monday prior is okay too) to post favorites to our FB group and your creations for the upcoming challenge (the one posted the next day)

* I have a bit of sad news this week. :( *
One of our great DT members AnnMarie Bryant has decided it is time for her to move on. I am SOOOOOOO sad. AnnMarie holds a very special place in my heart. I love her style and I have been online friends with her for a couple years now. She will still be crafting and I wish her all the best! I hope she will come back for a Twisted Guest appearance every now and then though :)

We love you and will miss you AM! :)

THE CHALLENGE

 Let's get back to basics! This week, you can't use your Big Shot or your Cricut (no machines) or your paper punches....that's right! NO TOOLS. Let's try and remember how we first crafted all those years ago. :)
I've had some questions about this challenge. Here's some clarifications:
Yes, your paper trimmer is an exception. You may use your paper trimmer :)
I'm only talking about mechanical things such as a Cuttlebug, Cricut, Big Shot, Paper Punches and the like. You MAY use any stamps, embellishments you like. Just try not to use "machines" to help you create with this challenge. Thank you for the question! :)

This week's challenge is so challenging.....there's no Twist! Yep! I'm going soft......no crafty Twist this week!!!! Enjoy!

2TC23 ~ Never Forget

9/11

I am crying as I type this blog post. Just looking at this date makes the tears come. Our country will never, ever be the same because of what happened 11 years ago. I remember and always will remember what I was doing at the exact time I heard. I weep for the people that lost their lives that day. I weep for the ones who lost a loved one. I smile when I think of all the people that helped that day; Firemen, Police, Military Forces and so many more. Then, unfortunately I weep again because some of those same Heroes are fighting a battle today because of things they were exposed to on 9/11/01.

I try so hard just to think of the victims and their families and pray for them and not focus on the cowards that invaded our land. I love my country and it angers me when someone tries to destroy something I hold so dear. I want this date to bring sympathy, thoughts and prayers to those affected. If we let anger and bitterness crowd our minds......the cowards of that day get what they wanted. I will not let that happen.

Join us today at Twisted Tuesdays remembering the 9/11 victims and families with this challenge....
